Artis Strength and Fitness is a strength and conditioning program that has been adapted for use by the masses.  The goal of the Artis Strength and Fitness program is to deliver a fitness that is broad, general, and inclusive.  This is why Artis Strength and Fitness workouts involve aspects of many different sports: running, rowing, Olympic lifting, powerlifting, kettlebells, and gymnastics are just a few of the various aspects that comprise our Cross-Training classes.  Workouts are typically short, usually ranging anywhere from 5-25 minutes, and combine various movements with the goal of increasing the individual’s work capacity and aptitude in all of the 10 General Physical Skills: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, agility, speed, coordination, balance, and accuracy.  Our classes are also universally scalable; that is, one workout may be posted for the day, but it can be infinitely varied to meet the wide range of needs and abilities of those performing it, from the elite athlete to the 12-year-old soccer player, to the 45-year-old mother to the 70-year-old grandparent, and everyone in between.
